WINTER ANNOUNCEMENT


Are you a regular student at Urbanity? Then it's important to subscribe to our text and email alerts so you can stay "in the know" for class updates and cancelllations. SIGN IN or SIGN UP to make sure we have the best email and phone number to reach you at, and make sure you click the subscribe button! We promise not to overload you...we only reach out about the important stuff. This is also a great place to check your rewards points and register conveniently online.


We continue to follow all city of Chicago mandated guidelines regarding mask-wearing for all inside activities. As a courtesy to your fellow peers, our instructors, and staff, please bring your own mask if currently required and choose to participate virtually if you are feeling ill in any way. GROUP DANCE CLASS CALENDAR

OFFERINGS:

Dance Instructor Courtney Lundgren offers group classes, general private lessons, and Wedding Dance private lessons in traditional Kizomba, Urban Kiz, and Semba.

DANCE HISTORY:

Courtney is an emerging Kizomba instructor with a passion for musicality and a focus on Urban Kiz. She has been teaching Kizomba locally in Chicago and across North America at Kizomba and Latin Dance festivals since 2017.  In addition to teaching her own classes and workshops, Courtney has always been in high demand by many of the top Kizomba professionals for co-teaching and demonstrating at events.  She was even featured in one of the community's top online learning platforms!

TEACHING STYLE:

Courtney’s goal is to create an open environment and share tools to help students master techniques and fundamentals, then develop their own creative and musical style.

"Have been taking Intermediate Kizomba with Courtney for a handful of months now! Who knew virtual dance classes could be such fun?!?! With the way Urbanity has it set up with Zoom, the teacher is able to instruct you and give you feedback live just as they would in a normal class, plus you get the entire recording to review later (which normally does not happen in a live class).
