Adult Ballet
Ballet originated in the 15th century, where it began as an elaborate form of social dance performed at royal events. Over the next few centuries, ballet developed into a highly technical discipline, with its own vocabulary, rigorous training methods, and a focus on storytelling through movement.
Ballet is distinguished by its emphasis on precise, fluid movements and its use of classical positions and techniques, such as pointe work. The style is marked by its focus on balance, flexibility, and strength.
Our beginner class focuses on learning the fundamentals: posture, ballet technique, connecting arm/leg movements, and balancing physical demands with elegance and grace. This class is great to cross train with other dance styles as many of the exercises build great core, arm, and leg strength through dynamic movement.
