Are you a regular student at Urbanity? Then it's important to subscribe to our text and email alerts so you can stay "in the know" for class updates and cancelllations. We continue to follow all city of Chicago mandated guidelines regarding mask-wearing for all inside activities. As a courtesy to your fellow peers, our instructors, and staff, please bring your own mask if currently required and choose to participate virtually if you are feeling ill in any way. [Salsa & Mambo]

Luiz Ramos Salsa Instructor

OFFERINGS:

Dance Instructor Luiz Ramos is currently offering adult group dance classes in Salsa on1 and Mambo (aka Salsa on2).  He can also offer general private lessons & Wedding Dance private lessons in Salsa on1, Mambo, and Bachata.

DANCE EDUCATION & HISTORY:

Dance instructor Luiz has been dancing and teaching for over 7 years now.  His passion for dance started when he was very young growing up in the streets of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.  While there, Luiz began exploring the Afro-Latin styles and fell in love Salsa and Mambo, which is now where he focuses his training.  Since then, Luiz has excelled in these style and, as a result, been accepted onto many prestigious Latin performance teams in the Chicago area such as Urban Vibe, Gifted Souls, and Kachimbo Dance Co.    Thanks to his placement on these popular teams, Luiz has had the opportunity to perform and train across the U.S. He's very excited to join Urbanity and share his knowledge and passion with his students.
